Parks Lifeguard/Lifeguard Supervisor (Interim)

Duties

• Supervise bathing areas to prevent accidents
• Keep order, ensure cleanliness and inspect the facility
• Rescue bathers in danger of drowning and administer artificial respiration and first aid

Requirements

• Hold current certification from the YMCA, Starfish Aquatic Institute (StarGuard) or Emergency Water Safety certificate from the American Red Cross
• Maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials for the length of employment in this classification
