About the role
Fly Away Valet, a division of Jacobsen|Daniels, is seeking Valet Attendants to create and maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional environment by acknowledging, greeting, and welcoming guests; offering safe and efficient vehicle guidance; and actively controlling all parking spaces and directions in accordance with company performance standards. Valet Attendants serve as the face of Fly Away Valet, performing excellent customer service and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Greet arriving guests and provide courteous, efficient, and enthusiastic service for guests requesting valet parking
- Check and notify guests of pre-existing damage to their vehicles
- Record guest names and vehicle information; secure guest keys for parking
- Accommodate guests requiring special assistance and aid
- Inspect vehicles for overall condition and note any dents, missing parts, or distinguishing features
- Identify vehicle designated parking location and provide guest with vehicle claim check
- Report issues and/or potential problems which may have an impact on the security of guest vehicles and avoid traffic congestion and delays at entrances
- Understand the legal ramifications of various actions that impact the valet service
- Assist guests with all luggage
- Respond to emergency situations when requested
- Promote and maintain the highest level of customer service to all guests while staying alert to their needs
- Respond effectively to guest inquiries, providing excellent guest service
- Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management
- Notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
- Always keep valet area neat and tidy
- Quote prices for parking services for which money is received upon customer receipt
Requirements

- Valid driver's license with insurable driving record history and the ability to drive a vehicle
- Ability to pass an airport security clearance

Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year in hospitality industry, including experience in guest and/or customer service (parking industry a plus)
Licensing & Certifications
- Valid in-state driver's license with a clean driving record, able to pass an MVR background test
Physical Demands
- Ability to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift
- Able to move luggage in and out of customer vehicles
