Seasonal work at Big Bear Mountain Resort puts you in the middle of it all, with some of the West Coast's best skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking terrain at your doorstep. Southern California's iconic beaches, deserts, and landscapes are all within driving distance. The resort is Southern California's year-round home for alpine good times, featuring three mountains—Bear Mountain, Snow Summit, and Snow Valley—offering activities for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.

In winter, enjoy world-class skiing, snowboarding, sledding, and tubing; in summer, experience mountain biking, hiking, base area activities, golf, and a full slate of events. Big Bear Mountain Resort is renowned for its innovative and influential destinations, including the most rideable terrain in Southern California, the region's only halfpipes, the highest lift-served peak (8,805 feet), the first terrain park in North America (Bear Mountain, 1992), the longest continually operating resort (Snow Valley, est. 1924), and the site of the first Winter X Games (Snow Summit, 1997).

Located in the San Bernardino Mountains, the resort is owned by Alterra Mountain Company and is an Ikon Pass member destination. It sits within the San Bernardino National Forest, approximately 100 miles from Los Angeles and Orange County and 150 miles from San Diego.

About the Role

Responsible for supervising personnel engaged in the safe and efficient parking of vehicles and traffic control. This position may be located at Snow Summit, Bear Mountain, or Snow Valley.

Starting wage between $26.50/hr. and $29.76/hr., depending on experience.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Strong communication skills with a calm and collective demeanor, especially during challenging operations
  • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
  • Ability to operate equipment as needed
  • Capacity to read, understand, and comply with documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals
  • Able to work flexible schedules, including second and third shifts
