About the Role
As a Porter at Towne Park, you will be responsible for the overall basic general cleaning of the common garage area while providing exceptional hospitality services in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner to all guests during their entire stay. You will also maintain the garage facility equipment, assist with customer issues in the parking area, and help create smiles by delivering exceptional experiences.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cleanliness checks each shift of all guest entrances/elevator landings in the garage, including emptying ash urns and trash receptacles at ½ full or higher, and sweeping litter and cigarette butts in common areas (20%).
- Use a mop or power washer to eliminate stains from liquid spills in common areas. Wipe all signage, wayfinding materials, and pay-on-foot stations with appropriate cleaning solutions (20%).
- Maintain general garage cleanliness using a mobile garbage can, broom, and dustpan to remove debris from around and between vehicles, ledges, and walls. Use paint-safe solutions or a power washer to clean stains from pillars and columns (15%).
- Clean all signage and wayfinding materials at garage entrances and exits, as well as equipment such as gates, gate arms, and card-reading devices (15%).
- Empty returned guest key receptacles at garage exits and return them to the Towne Park MOD. Power wash garage entrances/exits as needed (10%).
- Assist guests with directions, inquiries, and information about the surrounding area and attractions (10%).
- Protect guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements and maintain the security of customer financial and identifying information (10%).
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- One to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic general cleaning.
Skills
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend Standard English, including simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one or small group settings.
- Understanding of 24-hour and military time systems, as well as applicable rates for time passed.
- Strong customer service skills.
Pay
The hourly base pay range for this position is $16 per hour.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands
- Majority of work performed outdoors for extended periods, including the entire duration of the shift, with exposure to extreme heat and cold weather.
- Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods, walk, handle objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Lifting requirements: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
- Travel of up to 5% may be required.
