About the role

The Special Events Parking Manager oversees the parking operation for events under the direction of the Director of Operations to ensure 24/7 professional event management. This role supports programs and initiatives from our home office and addresses the individual needs of operational teams throughout assigned events.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Event department, aligning processes, resource-planning, and goals with overall business strategy.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and make operational adjustments to ensure success.
  • Ensure compliance with all requirements within contractual agreements between LAZ Parking and clients.
  • Identify targeted areas of improvement and implement data-driven solutions to enhance business operations.
  • Assist in developing short- and long-term strategic plans based on event knowledge and data analysis.
  • Prepare, track, and manage events and initiatives, including task management, update meetings, and issue escalation.
  • Manage staff, including scheduling, assignments, payroll processing, coaching, and development.
  • Work with event venues to track events that impact parking.
  • Implement and complete projects, programs, and initiatives based on event needs.
  • Organize and manage the oversight of event operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1+ years in a management role.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and general Microsoft Office applications.
  • Parking and event management experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to be flexible with schedule to meet operational needs, including working outside regularly scheduled hours.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions (heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.).
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods, as well as bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently throughout a shift.
