About the role
As a Wilderness Driver, you will operate vehicles safely and courteously, transporting guests, staff, luggage, and other items to designated locations such as Emerald Valley Ranch and Cloud Camp. You will work closely with Guest Services, Loss Prevention, and other teams while representing The Broadmoor’s Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond standards.
Responsibilities
- Greet and transport guests and employees to and from Emerald Valley Ranch, Cloud Camp, and other assigned locations.
- Transport and deliver luggage or other items, assisting guests with handling as needed.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip safety inspections of assigned vehicles and drive in a safe, professional, and courteous manner; keep vehicles fueled as directed.
- Wash, clean, inspect, and maintain vehicles regularly; assist with cleanliness of all work facilities.
- Complete required paperwork and records as assigned.
- Successfully complete Broadmoor Wilderness Driver training, CPR, and First Aid certification.
- Communicate effectively with team members using radios and earpieces.
- Maintain knowledge of Broadmoor Wilderness properties, including Cloud Camp and Emerald Valley Ranch, and their emergency procedures.
- Familiarize yourself with Broadmoor hotel features, history, and the local area.
- Report any accidents or vehicle damage immediately to the appropriate supervisors.
- Assist with minor vehicle maintenance or adjustments as required.
- Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while upholding all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Degree, preferably with one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in a high-quality restaurant or hospitality environment is a plus.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License preferred (required for driving shuttles or transporting guests).
- Must be at least 18 years old to drive a Broadmoor vehicle.
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance; work environment may include both indoor and outdoor settings.

Pay
$16.00 per hour.
