Parking Enforcement - Spokane ( Part Time )

Location: Spokane

Pay

$18.25 per hour

Schedule

Tuesday to Saturday, 5 pm – 8 pm

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to enforce parking regulations.
• Issue warnings or citations for violations such as expired time limits, parking in restricted zones, or lacking permits.
• Report hazardous conditions (e.g., missing signs, damaged equipment) to a supervisor.
• Maintain parking equipment, including meters and signs.
• Assist with towing and impounding of abandoned or illegally parked vehicles.
• Complete and maintain accurate written reports and records.
• Assist customers with issues related to mobile phones and pay‑by‑phone apps.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, especially in difficult situations, remaining calm and professional.
• Utilize the License Plate Recognition (LPR) system to monitor compliance, enforce time limits, and issue fee notices.
• Maintain the appearance of the LPR vehicle to present a professional image.
• Follow up with management on potential customer service issues.
• Assist merchants with parking validation system issues.
• Help customers use pay stations and perform minor maintenance as needed.

Working Conditions

Employees are exposed to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold. Protection from weather may be provided, but temperature changes are not guaranteed. The role involves significant time walking, standing, or driving and may include exposure to hazardous traffic conditions or hostile situations.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows PCs and applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
• Comfortable using devices on both Android and Apple operating systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
