Town of Natick Now Hiring: Parking Enforcement Officer (Part Time) The Town of Natick is seeking a reliable and professional Parking Enforcement Officer to patrol assigned areas, enforce parking regulations, and promote public compliance with local ordinances. This part-time position plays an important role in maintaining safe, orderly, and accessible streets through courteous, consistent, and fair enforcement. This is a part-time, benefits-eligible position up to 30 hours per week. Saturdays are required. Key Responsibilities Patrol designated areas on foot or by vehicle to monitor compliance with parking regulations.Issue parking citations and warnings for violations using a handheld ticketing device.Maintain accurate electronic and manual records of issued violations.Communicate with the Police Department using a two-way radio or cell phone.Respond to dispatch calls regarding parking complaints, violations, and related concerns.Coordinate with the Traffic Division to determine when vehicles should be ticketed or towed.Report damaged parking meters, kiosks, or missing or damaged signage.Properly maintain and care for assigned equipment, including handheld ticketing devices and printers.Respond to public inquiries regarding parking regulations in a courteous, professional, and helpful manner.Safely operate a Town vehicle when required.Perform other related duties as assigned in support of Town operations. Minimum Qualifications Valid Massachusetts driver's license.Ability to walk long distances daily and successfully pass a required physical examination.Must successfully pass a CORI check and background investigation.Strong understanding of applicable parking regulations and the ability to explain regulations clearly to members of the public.Good judgment and discretion, with the ability to work effectively under varied conditions.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Professional, respectful, tactful, and courteous demeanor when interacting with the public.Ability to work independently and follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to exercise sound judgment while consistently applying parking regulations and Town policies. Work Environment Position requires regular outdoor work and walking for extended periods.Work may be performed in varying weather and environmental conditions. Compensation & Benefits The salary starting salary is $20.00 with a full salary range of $20.00 - $34.50. This is a part-time benefited position (up to 30 hours per week).
