About the role
US Concerts is seeking a Parking Lot Attendant responsible for parking vehicles or issuing tickets for guests in a parking lot area. This role may involve handling cash and collecting parking fees.
Responsibilities
- Take numbered tags from guests, locate vehicles, and deliver vehicles, or provide guests with instructions for locating vehicles.
- Keep parking areas clean and orderly to ensure that space usage is maximized.
- Direct motorists to parking areas or parking spaces, using hand signals or flashlights as necessary.
- Patrol parking areas to prevent vehicle damage and vehicle or property thefts.
- Greet guests and open their car doors.
- Calculate parking charges and collect fees from guests.
- Issue ticket stubs or place numbered tags on windshields, and give guests matching tags for locating parked vehicles.
- Lift, position, and remove barricades to open or close parking areas.
- Inspect vehicles to detect any damage.
- Participate in the venue’s sustainability program, including sorting waste, collecting recycling, and educating fans about conservation efforts.
- Assist in closing the venue after shows, which may include collecting recyclables, picking up and storing event equipment (e.g., lawn chairs, barricades).
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Parking Manager or Supervisor.
Requirements
- One-year previous guest service experience is preferred, with the ability to provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to express oneself professionally, clearly, and concisely.
- Position requires constant walking and occasional sitting.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
