Parking Attendant - Special Events

About the role

This is an event-based position responsible for cash and electronic transactions with parking customers. Duties include setting up cones and parking signs inside and outside the parking structure, directing traffic to ensure efficient flow, and providing friendly, professional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Approach and greet all customers in a friendly, professional manner
• Use respectful communication to assist guests with questions, problems, and concerns
• Relay customer concerns and/or information to shift lead or Operations Manager as necessary
• Provide quick and responsive excellent customer service
• Follow all company procedures and comply with all safety regulations
• Issue and/or collect visitor parking tickets
• Match visitor ticket to parking rate schedule; collect proper payment from visitors and distribute correct change
• Reconcile receipts, cash, and charges; accurately account for all funds within cashier drawer
• Perform revenue drops following specific location procedures
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area
• Immediately report accidents, incidents, or safety concerns to Operations Manager or Shift Lead
• Communicate professionally at all times with guests, clients, and teammates
• Direct traffic inside and outside the parking structure to maintain efficient traffic flow
• Set up and move cones and parking signs inside and outside parking structure as needed

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must speak and understand English for safety purposes
• No experience required; on-the-job training provided
• One (1) year of similar experience preferred
• Customer service experience preferred

Pay

$15–$16 per hour. The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Schedule

This is an event-based position. Work assignments will be scheduled according to the needs of the event venue. Candidates must be available to work evenings and weekends.
