The Spirit of the Position
A LAZ Parking Ambassador plays a significant role in the success of the company. They are the first person our clients and customers see upon arrival, and the last person our clients & customers see when they depart. A warm welcome, smiling face, and professional demeanor are of the utmost importance.
Customer Service
- Greet and assist customers entering and exiting the facility.
- Provide exceptional customer service in a professional and courteous manner.
- Respond to customer questions, concerns, and service requests.
- Assist customers experiencing transaction or equipment issues.
- De-escalate customer concerns and resolve issues promptly whenever possible.
Parking Operations
- Assist patrons and facility personnel at entry and exit lanes.
- Process cashier transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with lane openings and closures as needed.
- Secure and monitor gates and access points.
- Perform routine inspections of parking equipment and operating systems.
- Troubleshoot minor equipment and payment station issues.
- Report operational, safety, or equipment concerns to the Supervisor or Manager on Duty.
- Maintain awareness of facility operations to support a safe and efficient customer experience.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong customer service experience with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional when interacting with upset or frustrated customers.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and follow company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Demonstrated sense of urgency and responsiveness.
- Ability to adapt to changing operational needs and customer demands.
- Ability to successfully meet any site-specific credentialing or badging requirements, if applicable.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions, including heat, wind, rain, and other environmental conditions.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift throughout the workday.
