Parking Attendant
Job Essentials
Greet and acknowledge guests with a friendly, professional demeanor and provide prompt, responsive customer service.
Communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the telephone, using appropriate etiquette.
Open doors and assist guests and visitors entering and exiting the facility.
Provide directions and information regarding hospital services, locations, hours of operation, and local points of interest.
Assist guests with vehicle entry and exit, including mobility assistance when needed.
Escort and/or transport guests to destinations within the hospital campus as appropriate.
Safely operate vehicles within parking areas, maintaining awareness of surroundings and practicing defensive driving techniques.
Accurately complete parking tickets, stubs, logs, and other required documentation.
Secure and manage vehicle keys, including transferring unclaimed keys to designated after-hours collection points.
Monitor valet and parking areas for safety, security, and cleanliness concerns; report hazards, unauthorized individuals, or security issues to leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current valid driver's license with no outstanding citations, suspensions, or warrants.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a professional, positive, and customer-focused manner.
- Demonstrated ability to follow work instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to safely operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
- Ability to operate a variety of vehicle types, including compact cars, SUVs, vans, and trucks.
- Ability to stand, walk, and maintain mobility throughout the duration of a shift.
- Ability to escort guests and travel throughout the hospital campus in a timely manner.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual or multilingual skills.
- Six months of customer service, valet, hospitality, or related experience.
- Previous experience in a valet role at a four- or five-star hotel, resort, healthcare facility, or similar environment.
- Seeing, Sitting, Speaking, Hearing / Listening, Lifting, Pulling / Pushing, Standing, Walking, Manual Dexterity.
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$17.43 - $22.29

In this key role, the Parking Attendant is responsible for greeting guests, parking and retrieving vehicles in a prompt yet safe manner, providing wheelchair, and way-finding assistance.
