Parking Attendant
About the Role
We are interviewing for a Parking Attendant to join our team at the Mission Viejo Spa. The Parking Attendant is responsible for providing a welcoming, safe, and efficient parking experience for all guests of Burke Williams Spa. This position assists with directing traffic, monitoring parking areas, helping guests locate available parking, and maintaining a clean, organized, and professional parking environment. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, attentive, and comfortable working outdoors while providing excellent guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Direct vehicles to appropriate parking areas and available spaces.
- Assist with managing traffic flow during busy periods, special events, and peak arrival/departure times.
- Monitor parking areas to ensure vehicles are parked appropriately and designated areas remain accessible.
- Provide guests with directions and general property information as needed.
- Assist guests with parking-related questions or concerns and escalate issues to management when appropriate.
- Monitor parking areas for safety concerns, suspicious activity, damage, or other issues and promptly report concerns to management or security.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of parking areas, entrances, walkways, and attendant stations.
- Place, move, and maintain parking signs, cones, barricades, or other traffic-control materials as directed.
- Communicate effectively with management and other team members regarding parking conditions and guest needs.
- In the event security is not present, assist walking guests and Burke Williams employees to their cars as needed.
- Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and service standards.
Requirements
- Previous customer service, hospitality, parking, security, or guest-service experience preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Professional, friendly, and helpful demeanor.
- Dependable and punctual with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to remain calm and courteous in high-traffic or challenging situations.
- Strong awareness of surroundings and attention to safety.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with team members and management.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to bend, reach, and occasionally lift or move parking signs, cones, or equipment.
- Ability to safely navigate active parking lots and vehicle traffic.
