Surrounded by rolling, tree-covered hills, the lodge overlooks the beautiful 10,000-acre lake. The lodge has 51 rooms, offers full amenities, and is open year- round. In addition, the Park features 22 cottages as well as 99 campground sites. Barren River Lake State Resort Park is currently seeking a Park Worker I in the Housekeeping Unit. This is an amazing opportunity for someone to join and work with the Parks Housekeeping Unit. Duties Include But Are Not Limited To Cleaning of guest rooms and cottages Cleaning of common areas Cleaning of the lodge, restaurant and common area bathroom facilities Setting up and tearing down meeting rooms in the convention center. Delivering the very best customer service to all park guests. Carrying out preventive maintenance program as directed. Assisting the Housekeeping department in various other housekeeping duties for the park. The Park Worker I in the Housekeeping Unit will report directly to the Housekeeper Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity to be a part of and to help the housekeeping department and assist in making Barren River a better State Park. This is a full-time position with the state of Kentucky, with excellent benefits and retirement.
