Park Services Attendant
Part-time, hourly position averaging 15-20 hours per week, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
About the role
Park Services Attendants play a vital role in creating a positive experience for all park guests. This front-facing position requires strong communication skills, a friendly attitude, and a willingness to support a variety of operational needs. Team members help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by providing guest information, supporting programming and events, and assisting with general park upkeep. Attendants report to the on-site shift lead and the Park Services Manager.
Responsibilities
- Guest Services & Outreach
- Greet and assist visitors with information about park amenities, programs, and wayfinding
- Provide a positive and welcoming presence throughout the park
- Respond to and troubleshoot guest concerns, escalating issues when necessary
- Park Operations & Maintenance
- Maintain restrooms to ensure cleanliness and proper function
- Monitor and service trash and recycling receptacles as needed
- Keep grounds litter-free and park furniture properly arranged
- Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the dog park areas
- Assist in volunteer orientation for clean-up and improvement projects
- Report any incidents or safety concerns according to protocol
- Event & Program Support
- Assist with event and program setup, guest logistics, and activity support
- Coordinate load-ins with partners and vendors
- Help manage parking areas, including flow, payment kiosks, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with the Grounds and Facilities teams to meet event needs

Requirements

- Physical Requirements: This role is physically demanding. Candidates must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and walk or stand for long periods to perform job duties effectively. The outdoor environment requires employees to be prepared for varying weather conditions year-round. Moncus Park provides protective supplies, including water, sunscreen, bug spray, and first aid kits.
