About the role
Parks and Recreation Department seeks a dynamic Park Ranger to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nature and a commitment to public service.
Responsibilities
- Provide visitor services and information at park facilities
- Enforce park rules and regulations
- Maintain park grounds and facilities
- Respond to emergencies and incidents
- Conduct educational programs and activities
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Physical ability to perform tasks in outdoor settings
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
- One year of relevant experience in parks, recreation, or related field
Skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency response protocols
