About the role
This vacancy is with the Department of Land & Natural Resources located at the Sand Island State Recreation Area.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of manual and semi-skilled work tasks in the development and maintenance of scenic and recreational areas;
- Greets visitors and gives historical and botanical information concerning the site;
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Legal Authorization To Work: Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
- Experience: Two (2) years of work experience in and one or a combination of the following: groundskeeping, grounds maintenance and/or related work utilizing a variety of hand tools and light motorized equipment; or unskilled or semi-skilled work requiring the use of simple tools found commonly in the building or mechanical trades.
- Driver's License: Possession of a valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment.
Qualifications
The immediate vacancy has the following requirement: Some positions require the ability to lift and carry items of various weights with or without reasonable accommodation.
