About the role

The Park Athletics Facilities Groundskeeper maintains all athletic fields, park grounds, and related facilities to ensure they are safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing for public use.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on athletic fields, including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding.
• Maintain park grounds, including landscaping, trash removal, and general upkeep.
• Inspect and repair irrigation systems, fences, benches, and other park amenities.
• Prepare fields and facilities for scheduled events, games, and tournaments.
• Operate and maintain grounds equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and utility vehicles.
• Assist with snow removal and other seasonal maintenance tasks as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and report hazards or needed repairs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or related field.
• Knowledge of athletic field maintenance practices and equipment.
• Ability to operate and maintain grounds equipment safely.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license.
