Duties And Responsibilities
Remember that the customer is always Number 1. Be familiar with the Customer Service post orders. Assist patients, visitors, and employees at front door; opens door, gives directions, assist patients in/out of wheelchairs and vehicles, doing so in a positive, helpful manner. Early mornings require P&R to escort patients to hospital departments. Assures adequate supply of wheelchairs maintained at hospital main entrance and Webber main entrance for patient use. Provide shuttle service to all that request such service. Monitor the Webber parking lot bus stop for anybody waiting for a shuttle. Keep fire lanes clear and free of traffic and parked vehicles. Keeping in mind it may be necessary to allow a patient’s family member to leave their car in the valet circle while they go and get the patient. This may include allowing them to leave their vehicle running for a short time. Maintain traffic flow in circle, main entrance area, providing unobstructed movement of traffic and easy access to main entrance of hospital. Answer phone located at main entrance to EMMC. Monitor all parking lots, identify vehicle owner, if vehicle in violation of parking rules, vehicle will be ticketed. Proper EMMC staff will direct security if vehicle is to be towed.
