Park and Rec Aide 5 (Road Crew Assistant – SPIF/Heckscher State Park – Long Island)

Responsibilities

• Drive a variety of motor vehicles, including automobiles and trucks, to transport people, material, and equipment.
• Post manifests and other records of goods and people transported to document their safe delivery.
• Prepare reports, map routes, itineraries, and points of call.
• Lift and carry crates, cartons, boxes, and other cargo onto and off of transport vehicles.
• Aid with groundwork tasks for the Regional Tree crew.
• Undergo safety-sensitive testing before operations and at random intervals.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
