About the role

Candidates with personal experience with NICU care are strongly encouraged to apply. The Parent to Parent Program Facilitator will oversee the NICU Family Centered initiatives and activities developed within the NICU committees to ensure a successful Parent to Parent program that aligns with Family Centered Care principles in the CFH NICU, Illinois Perinatal Quality Collaborative, and Vermont Oxford Network quality improvement recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Manages NICU Family Centered Care initiatives/activities developed within the NICU committees.
  • Attends required CFH training sessions.
  • Respects family choices, values, beliefs, and cultures.
  • Complies with Infection Control policies and procedures and HIPAA.
  • Actively participates as a front-line example of extra-ordinary customer service.
  • Respects and protects the confidentiality of patients and families.
  • Serves as on-site resource and support for families and staff.
  • Rounds on NICU families and parents.
  • Leads the Parent Support group meetings.
  • Connects patients and families with appropriate hospital support and resources.
  • Functions as a liaison among patients, families, and staff to facilitate customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitates communication among families and health care members to promote safety and quality and to provide a seamless patient experience.
  • Aids in policy review and project implementation for NICU quality improvement.
  • Participates in Vermont Oxford Network (VON) committees and conferences.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $17.05 per hour - $27.62 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
