Essential Functions

  • Provides for the safety, stability and well-being of children and families served
  • Provides 24 hour, 7 days a week crisis on-call support to assigned families
  • Mets with assigned families to provide additional support to maintain the stability of children in the home
  • Provides 60 hours of service delivery per month or as determined by program needs
  • Aids parents in accessing resources throughout the community to meet child needs
  • Regularly communicates with program staff
  • Understands and follows program regulations when applicable
  • Maintains regular communication with assigned families and staff
  • Monitors and responds timely and appropriately to emails and phone calls
  • Documents confidential information and accurately uploads into the electronic health record system
  • Sets up and submits incident reports when appropriate
  • Maintains good working relationships and facilitates communication with families and staff
  • Provides parent training and support groups identified to assist in the stabilization of children
  • Maintains strict confidentiality
  • Delivers culturally competent, strengths-based services to children and families

Education, Experience, And Licensure

  • Requires a high school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
  • Requires at least two years of child welfare and/or family services experience
  • Requires previous experience parenting a child with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED), Substance Use Disorder (SUD), or co-occurring mental health diagnosis
  • Must possess a valid state Driver's License, in force automobile liability insurance, and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization's insurability standard as defined by DCCCA policy
  • Availability of reliable transportation is required for this position
