Responsibilities
- Guidance to parents/caregivers who have children being served through the system, sharing and relating your own prior experience
- Advocacy and liaison services between the families, children, clinician, treatment staff, community agencies, and services
- Participates as a member of the Child and Family Team (CFT), trainings, court review hearings, IEP, and other meetings and assists the parents/caregivers in bringing up and discussing difficult issues
- Lead or co-lead individual and parent counseling groups providing education, consultation, or other needed services
- Documentation and record-keeping
- Provide services in the home and community - Flexibility with schedule
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior personal experience as a parent or legal guardian of a child who has been involved with the system (DCFS, probation, Regional Center, Dept. of Mental Health or the like) required
- Probation and/or DCFS case must be closed for a minimum of one year
- Two years of experience in a mental health setting strongly preferred
- Valid driver license for 1 year minimum, reliable transportation with registration and insurance.

Pay
Annual Salary: $49,000 (Salary plus overtime) - $23.56 hourly
