Position Summary
As a Parent Partner in Stockton, California, you’ll work as part of a team with youth partners, family social workers, field-based clinicians, and program managers to round out the holistic care treatment for youth and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Care
- Helping with budgeting or establishing house rules
- Providing support during court proceedings, IEPs or family meetings
- Using relationship, shared life experience, and interpersonal skills to gain parental engagement and commitment when necessary
- Documentation & Communication
- Communicate effectively with treatment team members, supervisors, and client families
- Avoid attending required staff meetings and trainings
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Real-life experience as a parent or primary caregiver who have successfully navigated mental health, probation, child welfare, special education or regional center services for your child
- High school diploma or GED
- Mets all state-required employment conditions, including: DOJ fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health physical, Valid CA Driver’s License, acceptable driving record, and proof of insurance
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension)
- Strong writing and documentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and standard office software
- Excellent time management, multitasking, and organizational abilities
- Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries with clients and staff
Work Environment & Schedule
- Field Based position, requiring travel to meet with clients in their homes or community/school setting
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, Full-time, flexible shifts including evenings
