The Arkansas Commission for Parent Counsel (ACPC) is seeking applications for a part-time Attorney contractor to represent parents in dependency-neglect cases in Hempstead and Nevada Counties in the 8N Judicial District.

About the role

  • Represent parents in dependency-neglect cases in Hempstead and Nevada Counties in the 8N Judicial District

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal representation to parents in dependency-neglect cases
  • Advocate for the best interests of children in court proceedings
  • Collaborate with other professionals involved in child welfare cases

Requirements

  • Currently qualified dependency-neglect attorney under Arkansas Supreme Court Administrative Order No. 15
  • Preferred applicants will receive training if not already qualified

Qualifications

  • Experience in family law and dependency-neglect cases
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

  • Excellent legal research and writing skills
  • Effective negotiation and conflict resolution abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
