Parent Coach (Home Visitor) (Full-time)
Maintain an open, friendly, and professional relationship with all staff, families, and community partners. Provide 60-90-minute home visits focused on education, health and wellness, family systems, goal setting, and community resources. Collaborate with community organizations, institutions, and schools to support families by meeting them where they are. Requires a strong understanding of data processes, including maintaining performance standards, compliance with funding requirements, core competencies, assessments, and content areas. Training will be provided, but candidates must demonstrate strength in managing data, navigating multiple systems, and processing data within provided timelines.
Responsibilities
- Attend a five-day Parents as Teachers training and a two-day Partners for a Healthy Baby training; remain certified while employed.
- Complete weekly, 60-90 minute, highly individualized, strengths-based home visits using the Parents As Teachers curriculum and model.
- Assist with facilitating bimonthly playgroups.
- Administer developmental screenings and family wellness screenings using approved screening tools.
- Recruit and retain home-visiting families; maintain a caseload of clients.
- Meet the requirements of all funding sources.
- Attend all staff events and ongoing professional learning.
- Maintain and properly submit comprehensive written SOAP notes and electronic records, including up-to-date contact information, visit records, and family goals as required by federal/state guidelines (weekly).
- Provide program parents with guidance on home safety, nutrition, family development, conscious parenting, constructive play activities, and related topics.
- Provide information on community and agency services; offer resources and referrals to medical, mental health providers, and interagency networks as needed.
- Support quarterly community events.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, CDA, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, CDA, or 3-4 years in a relevant field.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s or higher in Education, Social Work, or a similar field.
- 3 years of experience working with Early Childhood Programs and children from birth to age five.
- Strong computer and technology skills, including Google Suites, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Highest ethical standards and responsibility with confidential information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for communication with culturally diverse participants, partners, and supporters.
- Positive, effective, and professional working relationships with staff, clients, and community partners.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development of best practices in strength-based approaches to families, parenting behaviors, child health and wellness, and family-centered practices.
- Outstanding time management, organizational skills, and follow-through.
- Capacity to problem solve, handle crises, and work with families and children.
- Reliable car, valid driver’s license, auto liability insurance of at least $100,000, and a good driving record.
- Ability to travel to various locations and enter private homes to provide services.
- Ability to lift five to ten pounds regularly.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Schedule
- Full-time position: available between the hours of 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM, including some evenings and Saturdays.
- Part-time position: available 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM and some weekends 9 AM – 12 PM.
Pay
Annual compensation range is $42,000–$46,000.
