Paraprofessional - Special Education (Moderate / Intensive)

Union: OAPSE 120 / Special Education Paraprofessionals. Reports to: Building Administrator(s) and/or Executive Director for the Office of Exceptional Children or designee. Hourly rate: $18.75 per hour.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday
• 6.75 hours per day
• 189 days per year (pro-rated for new hires based on date of hire)

Requirements

Must be a highly-qualified paraprofessional under the provisions of ESSA and ORC 3319.074 by evidencing one of the following:

• Associate of Arts Degree or higher (official transcripts required); OR
• Two years of college totaling 48 or more semester hours (official transcripts required); OR
• Passing score of 456 or higher on the ParaPro Assessment (copy of ParaPro Assessment results required).

Must have or be able to obtain an Educational Aid Permit through the Ohio Department of Education.
