About the role
The paraprofessional will support students with disabilities which may include academic, social, behavioral, and functional needs. The paraprofessional may work in mainstream classrooms or special education classrooms under the direction of licensed special education teachers. Additional duties may include supporting extracurricular activities or bus routes.
Responsibilities
- Support students with disabilities in academic, social, behavioral, and functional areas.
- Work in mainstream or special education classrooms under the guidance of licensed special education teachers.
- Assist with extracurricular activities or bus routes as needed.
- Utilize skills for data collection and communication to support student needs.
- Work occasional evenings or weekends as required.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree or equivalent.
- Prior designation as a highly qualified paraprofessional.
- Necessary training is provided.
Requirements
- Experience with special education or people with disabilities is preferred.

Schedule
7:50am - 2:50pm (6.5 hours/day on student contact days), 30 minute unpaid lunch. Specific start/end times may vary. Opportunities exist for paraprofessionals to assist with Special Education transportation and/or extra-curricular activities.
Pay
Pay starts at $19.99 - $22.81/hour.
