About the role
Lockport Township High School is seeking Paraprofessionals for the Special Education Department at their East Campus. Qualified candidates must hold a valid State of Illinois Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) for Paraprofessionals.
Responsibilities
- Experience working with students with disabilities in an academic environment preferred.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic and diverse environment.
- An effective communicator who positively interacts with staff members, parents, students, and the public.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and climb or balance.
- Must regularly lift 40 pounds and/or push/pull up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
- The employee needs to be able to tell where a sound is coming from and hear in a noisy environment.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must hold a valid State of Illinois Educator License with Stipulations (ELS) for Paraprofessionals.

Schedule
District 205 is a Full-Time, 10 Months/260 Days position.
Pay
Starting at $21.07 and based on Collective Bargaining Agreement.
