Paraprofessional - MLL (Multiple Language Learners)

Requirements

• Substitute Certification required
• Bachelor's degree/Teaching Certification preferred
• Fluency in Spanish desired

Responsibilities

• Make contact with English Language Learning teachers, coordinate their lesson planning, provide and acquire resources for English Language Learning classroom teachers
• Provide classroom reading support in English Language Learning class and other subject area classes
• Provide direct and indirect English Language Learning services to parents
• Make all necessary appointments with students who need extra-help
• Maintain a log of hours by date, time, and description to account for all hours
• Sign and submit log upon completion of the school year to Michael Jones, Supervisor of Teaching and Learning
• Tutor students that need remediation

Qualifications

The following is a list of expectations for the Para-professional appointed to this position:

• A specific list of English Language Learning students will be eligible for this service.
• Students who demonstrate an inability to achieve at grade level in math and language arts would also be eligible for the tutoring service.

Pay

Salary based on education and experience on the Black Horse Pike Regional School District Salary Guide, between $26,320 - $40,346.

Schedule

This position includes a preventative care plan, but no additional health or dental benefits.
