Paraprofessional - Makerspace

About the role

Signal Hill Elementary School seeks a paraprofessional to lead the Makerspace program, focusing on hands-on, inquiry-based activities with students during their lunch periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging, project-based learning experiences for students in grades K-5
• Ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for students
• Maintain a schedule for which classes will attend Makerspace
• Communicate with lunch monitors to oversee which children will visit Makerspace during their recess time
• Other tasks as needed by building administration (flexibility required)

Qualifications

• Experience working with elementary-age students in some capacity
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• A passion for hands-on learning

Schedule

Hours are from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Pay

Starting Salary Step 1: $19.41
