Paraprofessional (Instructional)

Job Qualifications

• Minimum one year of successful job-related experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Work keys tests: Applied Math and Workplace Documents with a score of 3 or higher, Associates Degree, or 48 college credit hours

Skill Requirements

• Strong organizational, time management, communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient with computer technologies
• Knowledge of the needs of students requiring remedial reading instruction
• Ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, students, parents
• Ability to use diagnostic data to tailor instruction to meet the needs of the student(s)

Essential Duties

• Further and support the Mission and Vision of Salida del Sol Academy
• Works with individual students or small groups to reinforce instructional material planned and/or presented by classroom teacher
• Aids with computer assignments and various classroom activities
• Supports individual student's access to the curriculum (note taking, reading, assistive technology, etc.)
• Administers tests and other assignments as assigned
• Interacts with technology for data entry and instruction
• Maintains communication with classroom teachers regarding student progress
• Maintains student conduct, instructs individual or small groups of students, supports school-wide assessment

Pay

Annual Salary Range: $27,424.08 to $32,303.43 depending on experience and education.
