About the role

Hope is a clinical, educational, and therapeutic provider for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. Responsibilities

• Support students in a classroom setting at the Hope Learning Academy and complete appropriate data tracking and entry.
• Provide instruction and assistance that meets students’ Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals and objectives.
• Encourage student independence while following the classroom schedule and implementing educational programs.
• Foster a stimulating, accepting, and safe learning environment for all students.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Valid Missouri Driver’s license.
• Successful background clearance, physical, agility test, and drug/alcohol screening.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, grasp, reach, stoop, crouch, crawl, and run.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an education or human services related field (preferred).
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities (preferred).
• Classroom setting experience (preferred).

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of special education principles and practices.

Hourly Rate: $18-$19

Schedule

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am-3:30pm
