About the role

The Paraprofessional for Special Education will support students with special needs in a classroom setting at Washington Middle School.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and activities
• Provide individualized instruction to students as needed
• Support students' social and emotional development
• Work collaboratively with teachers, other paraprofessionals, and parents

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with individuals with special needs
• Valid Georgia Driver’s License
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field preferred
• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
