About the role

The Branch ISD Special Education Department supports students from pre-K to age 26 with mild to severe impairments through a variety of services including instructional, hearing and vision, physical and occupational therapy, speech, psychological, and nursing services. The department is dedicated to the success of each student and fosters positive attitudes and work habits.

Responsibilities

• Support students in their classroom based on their level of disability
• Work with assigned teachers to fulfill expectations of accuracy, attention to detail, and timely completion of work
• Maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor, positive attitude, and outgoing personality
• Maintain confidentiality and be open to professional development requests

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with elementary or high school-aged students
• Experience with students having academic and cognitive deficiencies and/or emotional or behavioral disturbances
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

• Michigan valid driver's license
