ParaProfessional- ESE

Qualifications/Certifications

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 60 semester hours from an accredited educational institution with at least 30 semester hours in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education or successful completion of the ParaPro test with a score of 457 or higher.
• Experience working with children with disabilities.
• Satisfactory completion of Verbal De-Escalation required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually.
• Separate Class Placement and 1:1 positions - Satisfactory completion of CPI training required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually.

Qualifications/Certifications - Paraprofessional II (Grade 19)

• Required: Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited educational institution.
• Experience working with children with disabilities.
• Satisfactory completion of Verbal De-Escalation required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually.
• Separate Class Placement and 1:1 positions - Satisfactory completion of CPI training required within 90 days of appointment and maintained annually.

Certifications/Licenses

• Valid State Driver’s license.
