School: Ralph M. Williams, Jr Elementary – 1700 Clubhouse Drive, Rockledge. Temporary position through October 2026, 6.5 hours per day.
About the Role
Assist certified personnel in achieving instructional goals through participation in curricular activities and supervision of students with disabilities.
Pay
- Grade 18: $16.68 per hour (high-school diploma plus ParaPro test score ≥ 457 or 60+ college credits in core curriculum)
- Grade 19: $17.06 per hour (associate degree or higher)
Requirements
- High-school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children with disabilities
- Satisfactory completion of Verbal De-Escalation training within 90 days of appointment and annually thereafter
- For separate-class or 1:1 placements: satisfactory completion of CPI training within 90 days of appointment and annually thereafter
Qualifications
- Paraprofessional I (Grade 18):
- Minimum 60 semester hours from an accredited institution (at least 30 in general education core curriculum and/or child development and education), or
- Successful ParaPro test score of 457 or higher
- Paraprofessional II (Grade 19):
- Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
