About the role
Provide support to students with behavioral needs in a classroom setting.
Responsibilities
- Support students with behavioral challenges through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques.
- Assist teachers in creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and develop strategies to improve behavior.
- Work collaboratively with parents and other school staff to ensure consistent support for students.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with students with behavioral needs.
- Valid Indiana teaching license or ability to obtain one within six months.
- Knowledge of behavior modification techniques and IEPs.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Pass a background check.
