Paraprofessional - Behavioral Skills - Lincoln

About the role

Provide support to students with behavioral needs in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities

  • Support students with behavioral challenges through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques.
  • Assist teachers in creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and develop strategies to improve behavior.
  • Work collaboratively with parents and other school staff to ensure consistent support for students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with students with behavioral needs.
  • Valid Indiana teaching license or ability to obtain one within six months.
  • Knowledge of behavior modification techniques and IEPs.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Pass a background check.
