The Lewisville Juvenile Treatment Center (L.J.T.C.), nestled in the serene setting of rural Lafayette County, is dedicated to transforming the lives of at-risk young males. Our structured environment promotes self-discipline, self-respect, and motivation. We are looking for passionate individuals who value education, personal growth, and the power of second chances.

What you will do:

• Works as an active team member of the Education Department, providing instructional services to students.
• Takes direction from certified staff to deliver and assist in instruction of classes and implements effective classroom management strategies.
• Conducts small group instruction, as well as individual instruction to students, as necessary.
• Tracks attendance, maintains weekly grades, and ensures student grades are available and posted.

Possessing:

• Absolutely need an Associate’s Degree.
• Have obtained an active Para-pro Certification.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test.
• Pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.
• Meet the requirements of an ROP-eligible driver, including having an valid Driver’s License.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
