About the role

Paraprofessional position at Parkland Middle School, reporting to the Building Principal. Full-time position with a 175-day term, starting August 18, 2026.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current and Valid Paraprofessional License
• 60 college credit hours or Work Keys Test/other ISBE requirement for obtaining Paraprofessional License
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe environment including physical intervention as needed according to protocol
• CPI training preferred or willing to train
• Work as a cooperating member of a team and effectively communicate with students, teachers, parents and administration
• Maintain positive attitude and dependability
• Willingness or experience working with young children with special needs

Pay and Benefits

• $17.50/hour starting plus benefits; additional credit for prior work experience
