Paraprofessional at Early Learning

About the role

Provides direct support to children under the supervision of ECSE, PT, OT, SLP, MT, and BCBA to assist in developing cognitive, communication, self-help, social, motor, and sensory processing skills.

Affords assistance with self-care routines including diapering, feeding, toilet training, and hand washing.

Prepares materials and equipment, organizes the classroom and storage areas, and assists with maintaining and ordering supplies.

Substitutes for teachers and/or paraprofessionals when they are absent.

Participates in therapy sessions and parent conferences as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with children and their families.
• Be technologically competent.
• Have knowledge of disabilities and child and family development (preferred).
• Hold a bachelor's degree (preferred).
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Have 1+ year of position-related experience (preferred).

Requirements

• First Aid CPR AED certification (preferred).
• Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree (preferred), High School Grad or Equiv (required).

Pay

$16.44 - $26.31

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day.
