Early Learning Paraprofessional
Job Summary
Northeast Arc's Building Bridges program provides individualized ABA services to children over the age of 3 diagnosed with ASD and their families. The program conducts behavioral assessments, develops comprehensive treatment plans, and works directly with individuals and their families in the natural environment to improve various skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinic-based support to individuals using evidence-based ABA approach
- Work directly with individuals and their families in the natural environment to improve socially significant behaviors across all areas, including communication, daily living skills, social skills, and adaptive behavior
- Teach goals and skills outlined in the treatment plans and implement behavior strategies developed by the BCBA (clinical supervisor)
- Attend and contribute to clinical and non-clinical meetings, trainings, and individual supervisions
- Complete required session notes and data and any additional non-clinical paperwork
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of clients
- Support school consultations and parent training as needed
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in psychology, early childhood education, or a related field preferred
- High school diploma required
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, along with excellent organizational skills and flexibility
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, able to maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Must successfully complete and pass all required background checks as a condition of employment
