What You’ll Do
- Support classroom instruction under the direction of licensed teaching staff
- Provide one-on-one and small-group academic assistance
- Help maintain a structured, supportive, and trauma-informed learning environment
- Assist with behavior support, redirection, and relationship-building
- Supervise students during transitions, breaks, and other non-instructional times
- Support documentation, attendance, and basic administrative tasks
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to meet student needs
What You Bring
- A high school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Active Indiana Substitute Teacher License or the ability to obtain one (preferred)
- Strong communication, patience, and relationship-building skills
- The ability to remain calm, consistent, and supportive with students who may struggle in traditional settings
- A team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn new strategies
