Paraprofessional
Job Summary
Paraprofessionals (para) would assist students as assigned in providing modified instruction, skill reinforcement, remedial instruction, behavioral intervention, and real time coaching as facilitated by the classroom teacher and/or learning consultant, in support of a specific child’s learning plan.
Responsibilities
- Assist in carrying out the learning plan
- Collect and report data
- Communicate progress
- Implement lessons as directed by the classroom teacher
- Supervise activities as determined by the classroom teacher with consultation and training from the learning consultant
Requirements
- Good understanding of the developmental needs of the age child with whom they are working
- Strong communication skills
- Enjoy working with children
Qualifications
- No teaching experience required
- Starting wage of $15.00/hour
- Work schedule: 7:15AM to 3:00PM during the school year
- Part-time positions do not qualify for benefits
