PARAPROFESSIONAL, 1:1 SECONDARY SPECIAL EDUCATION - 18-21 PROGRAM
About the role
Serves the educational, behavioral, social-emotional, physical, and daily living needs of secondary students with disabilities in various settings.
Responsibilities
- Supports academic, health, daily living, and behavioral needs as outlined in Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Maintains classroom activities, assignments, and materials under the guidance of supervising teachers.
- Provides daily living support such as toileting, diapering, feeding, and personal hygiene.
- Performs medically invasive procedures like tube feeding and catheterization following universal precautions and as directed.
- Lifts and transports students using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Advises on and implements accommodations and modifications as outlined in IEPs.
- Collects data on students' IEP goals under the supervision of special education teachers.
- Communicates with students and parents regarding educational matters.
Requirements
- Must pass District-approved written and physical exams covering de-escalation and physical restraint training annually.
- Must have a valid Colorado driver's license or be able to obtain one within the required timeframe.

Pay
New hires start at $22.824 per hour. Internal candidates' salary range is $22.824 to $27.275 per hour. Details for the 2026–2027 school year are typically released mid-summer with an effective date of August 1.
