About the role

The position involves documenting patient information and communicating with licensed clinicians. The role also includes preparing and administering medications, operating specialized ventilators, assisting physicians with procedures, and supporting patient care coordination.

Responsibilities

• Documents patient information and communicates with licensed clinicians.
• Prepares and administers medications under the direction of a licensed clinician.
• Operates specialized ventilators in critical and non-critical care venues.
• Assists physicians with bedside or other procedures.
• Notifies RN or physician of changes in patient condition.
• Supports and reinforces teaching and evaluates learning.
• Processes daily patient charges and coordinates communications.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
• Cleans, maintains, and troubleshoots equipment.
• Performs patient positioning and transporting duties.
• Communicates with EMS system.
• Maintains certifications as required.

Requirements

• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic license.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Emergency Medical Services.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in a paramedic role or appropriate related clinical experience.
• Completion of ENPC or other courses as appropriate.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work with electronic health record (HER) systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication.
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks.
• High level of attention to detail.

Pay

$24.10 - $36.15 per hour.

Schedule

Part time, Benefits eligible, 24 hours per week, Weekends 11a-11p.
