Paramedic PRN

About the role
As a Paramedic, you will help provide exceptional patient care in our fast-paced emergency room. You will support the nursing staff as they care for individuals with needs ranging from minor injuries to acutely or critically ill patients.
- Quickly and skillfully inform the RN staff of a patient’s chief complaint and presenting symptoms to aid in initial assessment.
- Assist the RN and Physicians with patient and family education.
- Champion surveillance, prevention, and control of infection by following established policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective measures.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in all technical aspects of the job, including performance of delegated nursing tasks and equipment operation.
- Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, orthopedic skills, Foley insertion, and all transporter duties.
Requirements
- Paramedic certification.
- High School Graduate / GED.
- 2 years of experience.
- Certifications to be obtained within specified timeframes:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (within 90 days of employment start date).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (within 30 days of employment start date).
- Neonatal Resuscitation (within 90 days of employment start date).
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (within 90 days of employment start date).
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (within 90 days of employment start date).
- No travel required.
