About the role

The position is available at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, a 122-bed community hospital in Torrington, Connecticut, serving 100,000 residents in Litchfield County and Northwest Connecticut. As a member of the hospital's Paramedic Team, you will work in a supportive small community setting while enjoying the benefits of a larger health system.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct effective patient care to patients in the Charlotte Hungerford Hospital Paramedic primary service area.
• Respond safely while operating emergency vehicles.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills required to care for a variety of patient groups in both Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support settings.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Successful completion of a Department of Transportation Paramedic Curriculum.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Paramedic in busy 911 systems.
• CT Paramedic License: BLS, PALS, ACLS.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Critical Care Paramedic or Flight Paramedic Certification within 1 year of hire.

• Nationally Registered Paramedic.
