Paramedic - Emergency Department - Per Diem
About the role:
The Paramedic participates as a member of the nursing staff by performing various assessments, treatments and technical tasks as requested. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Paramedic assists with the delivery of non-critical and critical emergency care within the limits of his/her training, and documents that care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Provides advanced emergency care in the hospital setting.
- Assesses emergency patients and assigns appropriate triage level.
- Assists with patient transport.
- Assists with room cleaning and turnover.
- Collections and documents data on Emergency Department records including but not limited to vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, oxygen saturations, height/weight and peak flows).
Qualifications:
- Current New Hampshire Paramedic license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current PALS certification.
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in computer systems and documentation.
