About the role

Baptist Health is hiring a Paramedic to join our Emergency Department at Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time, night-shift opportunity. A Paramedic in the Emergency Department plays a key role in supporting patient care and ensuring timely, compassionate service during critical moments. The Paramedic works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to assist with patient assessments, treatment, and documentation in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting RNs in providing care to patients with urgent and emergent healthcare needs.
• Supporting activities of daily living and maintaining a safe patient environment.
• Collecting and labeling lab specimens accurately.
• Monitoring and recording patient intake and output.
• Documenting all patient care and observations in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (Required)
• Associate of Arts/Science (Preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (Preferred)
• Florida Paramedic License (Required)
